Today I spent some time along with Red Funnel Ferries Limited with Darren Paffey who is the Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Southampton Itchen. As a General Election gets closer it's crucial that the Chamber is speaking to candidates like Darren to help them understand and appreciate everything that shipping delivers for places such as Southampton and how we need to tackle key issues such as infrastructure deployment to ensure the sector can continue to be at the heart of both local and national economies. Red Funnel are a great ambassador for our sector and thanks to Fran Collins for taking the time to host the visit.
